WDC receives an early Christmas gift from leading YouTube network

Ever heard of the Yogscast? The UK-based YouTube gaming sensations have over 7 million subscribers and during the holiday season they like to give a little back to the world for letting them play video games for a living!

Every year the YouTube Network hosts the “Jingle Jam”, a charity event that runs throughout December and has raised over $3m in the last 4 years. During the Jingle Jam these pro gamers do live broadcasts on the livestreaming service, Twitch, every day of December for 6-9 hours a day, encouraging their fans to buy a bundle of amazing video games with all the proceeds going to a small selection of hand-picked charities.
Yogcast Jingle Jam 2016

This year WDC is delighted to announce that we will be included in the Yogscast 2016 Jingle Jam – helping to raise vital funds to support our work to achieve our aim of a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free. To celebrate, Yogscast CEO Mark Turpin and Yogscast partners, Hat Films joined WDC up in Scotland to spend time with WDC field officer, Charlie Phillips, out in the Moray Firth to try and spot some of our amazing adopt-a-dolphin stars. Keep an eye out for the footage from their visit, which we’ll share in December, to see who they spotted!

The Jingle Jam kicks off on December 1st and the bundle of video games (provided by our friends at Humblebundle.com) will be available with all proceeds going to WDC and the other chosen charities. To get involved, you can watch the Yogscast and their antics at https://twitch.tv/yogscast each night. Warning – content may contain strong language.
