Sightings Update from Chanonry Point

There have been reasonable amounts of dolphins in the Chanonry Point area just recently, however the tides have been poor and it has taken the dolphins until halfway through the rising tide to really arrive properly and start to hunt. Amongst eight or so dolphins that were hunting in the Chanonry area late yesterday afternoon was adopt a dolphin star “Sundance” who was rushing through the blue water after salmon…

Along with Sundance, I had a fleeting glimpse of Moonlight and her young son but she was too far away for proper photos plus the light was fading fast. One of Sundance’s younger friends – “Bodhi” caught a lovely fish – very tasty for dinner !

I will hopefully see more of Rainbow, Kesslet, Mischief and Spirit in the next week – better tides and with a bit of luck more fish.
