Dolphin die-off in Gulf of Mexico finally slows
More than five years after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster, the number of dolphin mortalities in the Gulf of Mexico finally appears to be slowing. Nearly 1500 dolphins and whales have died in the last five years but fewer have been washed ashore in 2015.
The latest report from US authorities comes as investigations continue into what impact the spill may have had on marine mammals living in the Gulf.
