Shocking video shows trainers hitting captive dolphins

Pictures have emerged that appear to show trainers at Marineland Mallorca assaulting and abusing dolphins held at the facility.

The video was taken by members of the public, and in one scene a trainer at the Spanish marine theme park, seems to jump on one of the dolphins he is working with.

It is thought the trainer concerned is Jose Barbero, who may now be about to take up a similar role in the US at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.

This is latest episode highlighting the real cruelty behind these so-called ‘entertainment’ shows and will only increase the public backlash against captivity that followed the success of the documentary Blackfish, the acclaimed film about the plight of orcas held in captive facilities.

Please help WDC end captivity.
