Documentary reveals more unusual side to dolphin recreation

A new BBC series has revealed more interesting insights into how dolphins have fun. The new programme, Dolphins: Spy in the Pod, uses a fake sea turtle equipped with a camera to allow close up footage of dolphin behaviour in the wild.

One excerpt shows a group of dolphins nudging and chewing on a pufferfish, causing the fish to release its defensive toxins. They then pass the fish around, take in the toxins and appear to go into a trance-like state.
