Philip Hoare laments the slaughter of leviathan

Eloquent article in The Guardian by writer, broadcaster and WDC Ambassador, Philip Hoare, decrying whaling in Iceland – and in particular the resumption of fin whaling after a three year hiatus.  Ironically, his piece was published yesterday, the day the first fin whale of the season was killed off Iceland.  As I write, the Hvalur 8 is making its way back to port with its bloody cargo. The kill was reported by Visir last night.
