WDC was saddened to hear of the death of iconic Scottish businessman and long-time WDC supporter, Mr. Gordon Baxter CBE , who passed away aged 95 on Friday, 22nd February.

Gordon Baxter was president of the world famous Fochabers-based food manufacturing business, Baxters until 1992.

The Baxters Highland Village and factory is situated just 5 miles from WDC’s Scottish Dolphin Centre, which Gordon Baxter supported ever since WDC became involved at Spey Bay in 2002. Mr Baxter went on to fund an exhibition in the Centre’s historic Icehouse, the education room for school visits and a history project that saw children collecting stories about Spey Bay from the older members of the community.
