Scottish Dolphin Centre Volunteers
RESIDENTIAL VOLUNTEERS & GUIDE X 5
At Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) our vision is for a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free. We are looking for five dedicated Residential Volunteers & Guides to join our team at the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre, in Moray, North East Scotland, to help deliver WDC’s objectives.
The SDC is the public face of the charity and the visitor Centre (and accommodation) is based in a beautiful location adjacent to a reserve at the mouth of the River Spey where the river meets the North Sea. Our aim at the Centre is to inspire and amaze our visitors (we have over 95,000 every year) to the world of whales and dolphins, in particular the Moray Firth’s resident population of bottlenose dolphins (the largest in the world) and how WDC works to protect the marine life not just in the North East of Scotland but all over the globe.
The Centre is sited in a former salmon fishing station which is over 200 years old and is a haven for wildlife not just the bottlenose dolphins who can be seen feeding regularly along the coastline, but also migratory ospreys, seals, the occasional otter and a huge variety of sea, waders, song and coastal birds.
Please note that Spey Bay is not accessible by public transport, so a full driving licence and a car is preferable for all of the roles, however, it is ESSENTIAL for both the Shorewatch and Events roles.
There are five roles available 2 x Education, 1 x Events, 2 x Shorewatch please read the role descriptions, complete the application/equal opportunities form and email to email@example.com
Please note that we are unable to accept CVs as an application.
